Candle Care
BWS Candles are designed to last 50+ hours. Follow these simple instructions to ensure maximum enjoyment of your candles by preventing tunneling:
Trim the Wick: Before your first light and every burn thereafter, trim the wick to 1/4”. This ensures a clean, steady flame and prevents soot buildup.
Establish a “Memory Burn”: After the first use allow the wax to melt completely to the edges of the vessel. This helps prevent “tunneling” and promotes an even burn for the life of the candle.
Monitor Burn Time: Avoid burning your candle for more than 3 - 4 hours at a time.
Maintain the Flame: If the flame becomes excessively high or begins to flicker, extinguish the candle. Allow the wax to cool completely, re-trim the wick, and relight.
Mind the Draft: Keep candles away from fans, open windows, or air currents to avoid an uneven melt.
Safety Warning: Never leave a burning candle unattended. Do not sleep while a candle is still lit.
